Oct 4, 2011 -lets get the 2011-2012 wrestling season going.
Welcome back and welcome to all our new families. You are invited to our next two meetings.
Monday October 10th: We have a booster business meeting. We will be getting ready for our big dinner on October 17th. We will be looking to fill a few empty spots we have on our booster board. 6:00pm room 1903
Monday October 17th: Start up Dinner. We will have dinner for our whole program; youth – high school. We will be getting volunteers for all shifts, collecting dues, having a power point presentation and meeting everyone and welcoming everyone. This is in the café. Stay tuned for more emails regarding this.
Sept 1, 2011 - Open Mats
Parents, please remind your wrestlers about open mats. They start on Sept 12th. Every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:45-8:00am. The cost is $20. They can bring cash and I’ll give that directly to Coach Fields; if it is a check make it out to LHS wrestling (We’ll give him one bigger check). There is a total of 12 practices. That is $1.66 per practice. Pretty good deal to get coached by a 2x state champ and Greco Roman National Champ (toughest high school tournament in the country). Please try and bring checks/cash to Coach Contardi next week.
For middle school wrestlers attending please email kcontardi@forsyth.k12.ga.us to reserve a spot. You can bring your money the day of and an LHS coach will be there to take up the money from the middle school guys. We can get them out in time to make it to school. We can also help w/ trying to share contact info for carpooling purposes. The kids that attend this will be so far ahead once the season starts in November. We had about 15 kids that put in a lot of work this summer, those kids can continue to improve. The ones that couldn’t be with us over the summer have a chance to come into this season better than they left last season.

Remember if your wrestler doesn’t have Weight Training during the day they can lift w/ Coach Contardi on 4:00 on M, Tu, and TH.
Sept 1, 2011 - THE BIG NEWS
We are hosting the 2012 USA Middle School State Duals. The date is January 21st. The kids will work both days (set up on 1/20). Every family will work this event. This is the biggest fundraiser possible and can lead to even bigger better usa/team ga events. This is a 30 -40 team event.
